About the Author

Rosemary Kayess is the Director of the Human Rights and Disability Project at the Australian Human Rights Centre and Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of New South Wales where she teaches human rights law and discrimination law. She is also a Senior Research Fellow with the Social Policy Research Centre at the University of New South Wales in their Disability and Mental Health Research Programme.

Janet E Lord is an international human rights lawyer who specializes in international disability law and policy and disability inclusive development for marginalized groups. She is currently Senior Fellow for Human Rights and Inclusive Development at the Burton Blatt Institute, Syracuse University. She is also Senior Research Associate at the Harvard Law School Project on Disability and holds adjunct appointments at the University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School of Law and the American University, Washington College of Law.

About the Author

David C. Vinciguerra is the lead instructor for the Simulation and Game Development degree program at Wayne Community College. Prior to his current position he served as Co-Director of the Virtual Reality and Education Laboratory and Co-Editor for the internationally peer reviewed journal VR in the Schools while teaching graduate and undergraduate virtual reality courses at East Carolina University. David lives in Pikeville, North Carolina with his wife Jennifer and their daughter Natalie.

Andrew Howell developed a love for game programming while working towards his Simulation and Game Development degree. He has developed multiple games using the GameMaker and the Unity3D game engines. During his time working in the Simulation Development Laboratory at Wayne Community College he found teaching his skills to others enjoyable. Andrew enjoys learning new development techniques and currently resides in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

I just purchased this and have NOT actually done the exercises yet.

However, I have spent a few hours looking at the content in the book.

I have purchased 2 other books on this subject (both are pretty good).

The following is why I think this book deserves a FIVE star rating:

The first game assumes that you have NO prior knowledge of Gamemaker.
You can get the assets for all the games in the book on a website.
There are even helpful pictures in the book.
The book has a lot of material and goes WAY BEYOND for a beginner.
A lot of the material is not mentioned in my other 2 books.

About the Author

Emilija Kiehl is a Jungian analyst in private practice in London. She is Chair of the British Jungian Analytic Association (BJAA) and member of the Executive Committee of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). She teaches on the BJAA external courses and on the BJAA/Birkbeck, University of London MSc in the Psychodynamics of Human Development.

Mark Saban is a Jungian analyst working in Oxford and London. He also lectures on Jungian psychology at the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex. He is the author of numerous journal articles and book chapters.

Andrew Samuels works internationally as a political consultant with politicians, parties and activist groups. He was co-founder of Psychotherapists and Counsellors for Social Responsibility in 1994 and chair of the UK Council for Psychotherapy 2009–2012, and is Professor of Analytical Psychology at Essex and Visiting Professor at New York, Roehampton, Macau and Goldsmiths, University of London. His books have been translated into 21 languages.

The Sound of the Sea

The lore of the sea comes alive in these verses from the late Nineteenth Century. The ocean is presented in one powerful poem as a gravedigger for sailors, in another as a keeper of secrets, home of the drowned city of Ys. It is the abode of the legendary kelpies. There are also several poems about wooden ships and the iron men who sailed them, of the women who waited for men whom the sea never returned. Much of the poetry here has a touch of melancholia, a few with a lighter touch, but in all the poems we find the eternal majesty and mystery of the sea.

Plenty bliss for the reader

Bliss Carman should be more widely known, more widely read, and better remembered. He was a highly skilled poet, knew his craft, and worked diligently. On balance (a term I learnd from my friends across the Pond), he was probably a finer poet than a good oh let's say, 80% of the poets being published in hard & soft journals at the present time. About the Author
Hai Hong Nguyen is a Research Fellow at the University of Queensland, Australia.
